Dr Annie Lin3>
Dr Annie graduated from the University of Queensland Dental School in 2006. She worked in private practices in Carindale and Manly West before co-founding Showground Dental with her younger sister, Dr Amanda Lin, in 2012. Dr Annie’s meticulous attention to detail is evident throughout her dental career.
She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, including:
- Root canal therapy
- Children’s dentistry
- Wisdom teeth extraction
- Dental implants
- Invisalign and braces
- Dentures
- Teeth whitening
- Veneers
- Crowns and bridges
Renowned for her gentle and compassionate approach, Dr Annie is dedicated to providing a calming experience for nervous patients. She utilises advanced techniques, such as the WAND painless injection and Nitrous Oxide inhalation sedation, to ensure her patients feel at ease throughout their treatment.
Dr Annie is dedicated to staying at the forefront of dental innovations. She actively pursues professional growth through a variety of courses, including orthodontic training with Invisalign, Progressive Orthodontics Seminars, and the Orthoed Mini Masters program. Additionally, she has completed implant training with Osstem Implants and the Wehrle Implant Immersion Course, and is currently pursuing a diploma in Oral Implants. Dr Annie takes a holistic approach to her patients’ smiles, prioritising the most comprehensive yet minimally invasive treatments available.
Outside of work, Annie enjoys hiking and camping with her family, and she also volunteers at dental events supporting charitable causes. As a vegetarian, she is passionate about nurturing overall health through a diet rich in natural, high-energy foods. She also believes in the importance of maintaining a healthy oral and gut microbiome for optimal wellbeing.

Dr Amanda Lin3>
Dr Amanda Lin graduated from The University of Queensland Dental School in 2008. Ever since, Amanda has worked in both private and public sectors. She listens to her patients concerns and needs. She engages patients in their treatment plan. Amanda takes pride in her experience in all aspects of general dentistry but has a particular interest in minimal intervention and preventative dentistry. Amanda’s motto is that “prevention is better than cure”. She strongly promotes prevention care programs as she believes prevention dentistry is more cost-effective in the long term.
Amanda is a member of the Australian Dental Association and continues to update and expand her skills and knowledge by attending various dental conferences.
Outside of work, Amanda loves spending time with her kids, family, fur baby and friends. Amanda also loves drawing and enjoy her time painting with her kids and mum.

Since graduating as a general dentist in 2010 from the University of Western Australia, Lydia quickly discovered her passion laid within two areas: special care dentistry and community dentistry. To ensure she was able to deliver the best possible care in these areas, she completed a Master of Geriatric Dentistry at the University of Southern California in 2008 and then became a specialist dentist after completing a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Special Needs Dentistry) at the University of Queensland.
Lydia’s professional experience includes the public and private clinical practice, multiple research publications and tertiary education. In particular, her areas of expertise include:
– medically complex/compromised cases
– head and neck cancer
– dental phobias
– intellectual disability
– geriatric populations
In her spare time, Lydia enjoys hunting for the best vegetarian restaurants.

Dr Eliza Chen3>
Dr Eliza Chen graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Dental Science (Hons). She believes that excellent preventative care and oral health education are paramount and inclusive in providing the best dental service for patients. Therefore, when you see her for your first checkup and cleaning, she will most likely give you the lowdown on toothbrushing and flossing (if you haven’t already heard it before).

Dr Eliza also has a keen eye for detail and places herself in the patient’s perspective. Her treatment plan discussions not only include the pros and cons of each available treatment but also incorporate that into the patient’s long-term oral health goals, ensuring that every treatment plan is tailored to each individual in consideration of their circumstances. With a friendly manner and gentle approach, Dr Eliza looks forward to meeting more people and strives to provide each of her patients a pleasant dental experience.
Outside of work, Dr Eliza enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is also a big vegetarian foodie who likes trying out different recipes. Other than English, Dr Eliza can also converse in Mandarin and basic Hokkien.

Dr Amiel Cassidy3>
Dr. Amiel Cassidy graduated from Griffith University on the Gold Coast with a Master of Dentistry. She is a compassionate, empathetic, and gentle-natured dentist dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centred care. Dr. Amiel is passionate about all aspects of general dentistry, with a strong focus on preventive care to ensure long-term oral health and patient comfort.
Dr. Amiel’s areas of expertise include:
- Comprehensive dental exam and cleaning
- Preventive care and oral health education
- Restorative treatments, including dental fillings, veneers, crowns, and orthodontics
- Special Needs Dentistry, providing tailored care for patients with unique needs
Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Amiel recently passed the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons Primary Dental Science Examinations and completed a nitrous oxide sedation course, allowing her to provide inhalation sedation to help patients feel comfortable and at ease during treatment.
Dr. Amiel has a particular interest in Special Needs Dentistry and is currently pursuing further training, having started the first year of the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Special Needs Dentistry) at the University of Queensland.
Outside of dentistry, Amiel enjoys travelling, hiking, and spending time with her family and two puppies.

Cindy graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene. As a Dental Hygienist, her main focus is to provide preventive dental treatment for patients to maintain a healthy and functional smile. Cindy is involved in patients’ courses of care during routine dental appointments, where she collaborates with dentists to deliver comprehensive treatment plans.
Cindy has had experience working in both the public and private sectors to promote oral health in communities. She enjoys promoting good oral hygiene habits in patients of all ages to prevent the risk of dental diseases such as periodontal disease and dental caries. For paediatric patients, Cindy aims to establish effective self-care habits by discussing factors leading to dental caries, diet, and brushing technique.
Cindy believes that prevention is significant in maintaining the health of the oral environment and that the best care is given when patients are involved in making decisions about their health. Outside of work, she enjoys watching movies, trying new cuisines, and spending quality time with friends and family.

A graduate of the University of Queensland, Juliet joined the Showground Dental team in early 2022 and quickly fell in love with helping people feel at ease in the dental chair. Having experienced a long dental journey herself, she understands how important it is to feel comfortable and cared for during appointments. This personal experience sparked her passion for dentistry and inspired her to help others bring out their best smiles with confidence.
You’ll often find Juliet at the front desk, greeting patients with warmth and ensuring they feel welcome from the moment they step through the door. She takes pride in providing a friendly and supportive environment, assisting patients with their appointments, and answering any questions they may have about their treatment. Her goal is to make every visit to Showground Dental a positive one by building strong patient relationships and helping to ease any dental anxieties.
Beyond her role at the practice, Juliet is a strong advocate for prioritising health and wellbeing. She enjoys supporting her team in delivering excellent care to the community and values the opportunity to contribute to a practice that puts patient comfort first.
Outside of work, Juliet’s passions include volunteering, digital art, bouldering, and hiking. She raises two rescue cats, Olive and Vegemite, who bring plenty of mischief into her home.

Nyandeng has been a valued member of the Showground Dental team since 2021, bringing warmth, skill, and a reassuring presence to every patient interaction. As a Certificate III Qualified Dental Assistant, she has developed a strong foundation in assisting with a wide range of procedures, including checkups and cleans, fillings, veneers, crowns, implants, and orthodontic treatments. She takes pride in creating a calm and supportive environment, ensuring patients feel at ease throughout their visits.
Dedicated to furthering her skills, Nyandeng is currently pursuing a Certificate IV in Dental Assisting and Radiography. This advanced qualification expands her expertise in infection control, dental radiography, and surgical assistance, allowing her to provide even greater support to patients and clinicians during complex procedures. Her commitment to professional growth reflects her passion for delivering high-quality care and making each dental experience as smooth and comfortable as possible.
Beyond her work, Nyandeng treasures time with her three children, Rebecca, Victoria, and Jason. She is a creative at heart, enjoying jewellery-making, crocheting, knitting, and using her skills as a former hairdresser to braid her children’s hair. Whether in the clinic or at home, she brings patience, attentiveness, and a caring touch to everything she does.

Lei Anne made the exciting transition from office setting to dental assisting, a field she’s always been interested in. Believing that “oral health is wealth,” she’s dedicated to delivering smiles that are both healthy and bright, providing comfort and care to every patient as part of our amazing team.
Outside the clinic, Lei Anne enjoys brushing up on quality time with her family and friends, flossing through life with her dogs, Stella and Luna, and staying active by playing badminton and taking walks. Fluent also in Tagalog, she’s always happy to bond with patients and share positive experiences.

Nicole started her journey as a dental assistant with a keen interest in the field and a desire to work in a hands-on, patient-focused role. Encouraged by friends in dentistry, she decided to give it a try and quickly discovered how rewarding it was. Over the past year, she has gained valuable experience assisting in a variety of procedures and takes pride in helping patients feel comfortable and well cared for during their visits.
With her calm and supportive nature, Nicole enjoys building genuine connections with patients, especially those who feel anxious about treatment. She loves being part of a strong, dedicated team and has formed close friendships with colleagues and mentors along the way. Now, as she continues to grow in her career, Nicole remains committed to providing excellent patient care and creating a welcoming environment for everyone who walks through the door.
When she is not working, she enjoys cooking, playing badminton, and spending quality time with family and friends. Nicole is also fluent in Tagalog.

Nimisha is a lifelong learner who is always eager to explore new opportunities and expand her knowledge. Originally from Nepal, she has six years of experience in the dental field and has also led an organisation, gaining valuable leadership and community engagement experience.
Her journey in dentistry has given her a deep appreciation for this field, and she is excited about the possibilities the field holds for her future. She hopes to contribute meaningfully and make a positive impact through her work.
Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, she finds joy in gardening and painting, both of which allow her to express her creativity and connect with nature. She believes in continuous growth and embraces every opportunity to learn and evolve.
